A taste of the homeland
Olive Branch Olive Oil
Dear Friends,
Our shipment of Extra Virgin Olive Oil has
arrived from Palestine (West Bank)! The olive oil is from
the latest olive harvest, Fall of 2010.
PalestinianGandhis.org now has a supply of
the freshest Palestinian Extra Virgin Olive Oil to offer
in the Metro-NY area. Prices are remaining the same as
last year, $20 per 750ml bottle or $240 for a case of 12
bottles (and you get an extra bottle as a bonus). As
before, all profits from the sales are recycled to activities
and organizations active in furthering Palestinian human rights.
As before, for orders of a case or more, we will deliver within
the NY/NJ metropolitan area without charge (for lesser amount,
we are flexible also). Get them in time to be used for
summer salads and cooking.
New this year, are packets of Palestinian
Za’atar (a blend of spices commonly used in Arabic cuisine)
for $5/packet and Olive Oil Soap from Palestine also for
$5/bar.
Za’atar can be sprinkled on bread
rounds or yoghurt cheese. It can also be mixed with olive
oil for dipping and makes a great appetizer. It can be
used to season meats, fish and salads.
Olive Oil soap has been made in
Palestine since the 14th century. It is gently
moisturizing and suitable for all types of skin, especially dry
and sensitive.
